Flourless Pizza

I love pizza but do not want the carbs.

I have made meatza several times and love it, but I wanted something more like traditional pizza.  I don’t like using nut flours so this was a challenge.

I love my Garlic Bread made with egg whites, so I thought I would try to make pizza with and egg white based crust.

It tasted amazing!

I have deep dish pizza pans I bought at Aldi’s and I love them.

Zero Carb Egg White Pizza

A great pizza alternative using egg whites for the crust - just like traditional pizza without the carbs
Course: Main Course
Cuisine: Keto
Keyword: clean keto, low carb, gluten free, grain free, nut free, sugar free, pizza,
Servings: 2
Calories: 431kcal

Ingredients

  • 6 egg whites
  • 27 grams egg white protein powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp gelatin
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 oz pepperoni
  • 4 oz mozzarella cheese
  • 8 TBS tomato sauce

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine the egg whites, egg white powder, gelatin, garlic powder, oregano, and salt.
  • With a hand mixer, whip the egg whites until they form a stiff peak
  • Grease 2 pizza pans or parchment paper on a baking sheet
  • Divide the egg white mixture into 2 pizza crusts
  • Spread the egg whites as thin as possible
  • Bake the pizza crusts in 400 F for 10 minutes
  • Remove from oven and flip the crusts over
  • Top each crust with 4 TBS tomato sauce - all the way to the edge so the crust does not become hard
  • Add cheese and pepperoni - and any other toppings you choose
  • Return to oven for 5-10 minutes until the cheese melts
  • Remove to cutting board and slice
  • Enjoy!

Notes

The majority of the carbs come from the tomato sauce  - overall a very low carb meal.
I have the whole pizza as being a serving, but half of one pizza may be enough for a serving.

Can these be frozen? I would want to make smaller pizza crusts for single serving & then freeze the other single pizzas.

I haven’t tried freezing them yet but had planned to – I might do that today and see how it works out. I am assuming freezing will be fine. It would be helpful to have them already made and just take out as you need them

I can’t find rgg whit protein powder. Can I use liquid egg whites instead? If so, how much should I use?

    • KNAdmin says:

It is readily available in the US and even other countries – where are you located.
The egg white powder helps give the crust some body – without it, you are really making merengue
I am not sure how this would be without the egg white powder

I don’t find that where I live, in the Sierra foothills of California, but I do have unflavored protein powder. Can I use that?

I get my egg white powder at either Walmart or Amazon – There are plenty of good brands out there and free delivery.
I do not know what protein powder you have or if it will work as a substitute

Hi, love the loaf made from this similar recipe. Looking forward to trying it as pizzA crust. What size of pizza crusts does this make please?

  4. Delia says:

I’m confused about the serving size … so this recipe makes two servings but the macros are for one pizza ?

It was fantastic! So much better than fathead crust. Witch I find too filling with fat.tI added peppers, sausage and olives, ate ony 2 pieces. I made the recipe into one very large 18 inch pizza. Thanks for posting. my new go to pizza crust. wish I could send a picture it was fabulous!

I love it too. I am going to make smaller ones to freeze so there are always ready when I want one.
Making a larger crust is a great idea too – thanks

I really liked this and will be making it again! I used Raos for the sauce and the toppings also included onion and ground beef chunks. I agree with another reviewer here that I like this better than fathead crust. When I put the pizza back in the oven with the toppings, I had it in there a decent amount of time…waiting until the cheese started to get some brown on it. Thanks!

My whole family loved this! Even my picky son! It’s a keeper! Thank you!

This turned out great! Even my non Keto husband who’s parents used to own a pizza restaurant said he would eat this with me. He did say he would like it better if the bottom of the crust was crisper but I thought it was just fine.
