Liver Pate

I do not like liver, but Dr Karl does.  I have to make him Liver Pate 2-3 times a week.

I have found that I can eat a little if I put it on a pork rind.  I have been trying to eat a teaspoon daily.

Cut up the liver and onion and place in a sauce pan covered with water.

Simmer until no longer pink

In a high speed blender – add cooked liver and onion, butter, mayo, salt, pepper, and 1/4 cup of water from cooking the liver.

Blend until smooth and enjoy!

For dairy free options – omit the butter.

For carnivore, make mayo with bacon fat or just add  bacon fat to your liver mixture before blending.

I’m not a liver lover either but I can eat small amounts of chicken liver. I tried this recipe and it’s not bad so I will be eating this. My husband loves liver so he will be eating it as well. Is it okay for PSMF days? Not sure how high liver is in fat but I will try to find out. Thanks for sharing!

    • KNAdmin says:

it would not be good for PSMF days because it has mayo and coconut oil. The liver is fine though
      Glad youlike it

I wonder if this is like the liver sausage we can buy in the stores? Braunsweiger?

    • KNAdmin says:

braunsweiger is a little different. Just check the ingredients to make sure it is clean keto.
Braunsweiger is more like a sausage
