Sugar Free Sausage

I love sausage, but it difficult to find sausage without added sugar or fillers.

The ones I have found are too salty for me so, I decided to make my own.

I do not put them in casings.  Instead I make them into patties or use as the base for my Meat Crust Pizza.

Since I do not like salty sausage, I reduce the amount of salt I add.

Sugar Free Sausage

Great tasting sausage without the added sugar, salt, and fillers. It is clean keto/low carb as well as carnivore. So easy to make and tastes great.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground pork
  • 1 1/2 tsp sage
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp parsley
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine all the spices
  • Add the ground pork to the spices
  • Combine spices and pork completely
  • Refrigerate pork mixture for 3-24 hours
  • Form into 8 patties
  • Fry until cooked
  • Enjoy!

Notes

You can freeze the sausage mixture prior to cooking if you do not need 2 pounds of sausage.
Another alternative is to freeze the patties for future use.  Place parchment paper between patties before freezing.
This is great for breakfast or dinner.
