Keto German Chocolate Cake
This is a rich chocolate cake with coconut pecan frosting.
I started with my Chocolate Sponge Cake and topped it with Coconut Pecan Frosting.
It is absolutely amazing!
It is clean keto and absolutely delicious!

This is a clean keto rich chocolate cake with coconut pecan frosting.

Ingredients
Ingredients for Cake
- 6 eggs separated
- 62 grams powdered xylitol or any sweetener
- 30 grams cocoa powder
- 1 tsp chocolate extract
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp gelatin
Coconut Pecan Frosting
- 14.5 oz coconut cream 1can
- 1/2 cup butter 1 stick
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 70 grams xylitol or allulose
- 6 egg yolks
- 50 grams shredded coconut
- 100 grams chopped pecans
- 1 tsp gelatin
Instructions
Chocolate Cake
- In a large mixing bowl, put the 6 egg yolks and beat until they are light and pale
- Add the sweetener gradually and beat until the mixture is light and creamy
- Add the cocoa powder and extract, mix well
- In a separate mixing bowl, whip the egg whites to a stiff peak
- Fold the egg whites into the chocolate mixture
- Pour into 2 8" cake pans
- Bake at 350 F for 20 minutes
- Remove from oven and let cool before frosting
Coconut Pecan Frosting
- In a medium saucepan, whisk the coconut cream, egg yolks, and xylitol
- Add the butter and bring the mixture to a light boil
- Continue cooking and stirring until the mixture is thickened - about 3-5 minutes. Do Not Over Boil
- Remove the mixture from the heat and stir in vanilla, gelatin, pecans, and coconut
- Pour into mixing bowl and let cool for about 1 hour before frosting the cake

recipe says at step3 ‘melted chocolate’. but don’t see it by the ingredients listed. Also not mentioned at the youtube video. Typo?
another typing error of mine. Initially I was going to add melted chocolate but decided not to. I forgot to change the recipe.
