Dairy Free Keto Egg Nog
This egg nog is both dairy free and keto – it is delicious and creamy!
Just right for celebrating the holidays.
I make mine with coconut milk and hemp milk – you can use any dairy free milk instead of the hemp milk.
Whisk the egg yolks and xylitol in a heat proof bowl mixing well
add the ‘milks’ and mix well
I place the bowl over a pan of hot water since I do not have a double boiler – can use a small saucepan on the stove
cook mixture over medium low heat until back of spoon is coated – stir continously
Add the spices and extracts and mix well
I transferred to a measuring cup to refrigerate
grate a little nutmeg on top and enjoy!
Dairy Free Keto Egg Nog
This delicious, creamy egg nog is both dairy free and Keto! Top off with some grated nutmeg and rum (or rum flavor) and you are all set for the holidays!

Ingredients
- 6 egg yolks
- 1 1/2 cup hemp milk or any non dairy milk
- 1 1/2 cup coconut milk or coconut cream
- 1 TBS xylitol or any granular sweetener
- 1/2 tsp maple extract
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp cloves
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg or grate on top
Instructions
- In a heat proof bowl, whisk the egg yolks and xylitol until well blended
- Add hemp and coconut milk to egg mixture and whisk
- In double boiler or small saucepan, heat mixture on medium low heat
- Stir gently but constantly until mixture thickens to coat the back of a spoon (10-20 minutes)
- Remove from heat and add spices and extracts.
- Stir to incorporate
- Set the bowl or pot in the refrigerator to cool. You can also transfer to a measuring cup for cooling
- The mixture is thick but if you are using rum(or any other alcohol), the mixture will thin out to the right consistency. If not using alcohol, thin with some hemp or coconut milk until the desired consistency
- Grate some nutmeg on top and enjoy!
- This made about 3 1/4 cups of egg nog.
