Pie Crust – Just Eggs
Since going Keto, I have made most of my pies crustless since I do not like any of the keto crusts made with nut flours.
I decided to try a making a crust just with eggs – and it was great!
There is only 1 carb in the whole recipe!!
I don’t have a picture of just the crust – but here is one with my Crab Pie
Keto Pie Crust - Just Eggs
This very low carb pie crust is amazing and it is just made with eggs. No flours, nuts, or grains!
Calories: 144kcal
Ingredients
- 2 eggs separated
- 1 TBS egg white powder
- 1/4 tsp gelatin
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Put all ingredients in a mixing bowl.
- Whip with hand mixer until stiff peaks form
- Grease a pie pan - well
- Spoon mixture into pie pan and spread on bottom and up sides
- Bake in 325 F oven for 5 minutes until crust sets up
- Fill pie crust with pie filling and bake according to your pie instructions
Notes
Pre bake the pie shell if you are baking with a filling.
If you are just baking the pie shell to fill after it is baked, bake the crust at 325 F for 15-20 minutes

I don’t have access to egg white powder, so what can I use instead of that?
I have heard people use whey powder – I have never tried this since we are dairy free for the most part
what do you do with the yolks? Add them back in or just do’n’t use it?
