Keto / Low Carb Margaritas

Hot summer days are upon us as is Cinco De Mayo – what better way to celebrate than with a nice, cold Margarita!

Regular margaritas are very high in sugar and carbs.

This version has no sugar and very few carbs

I used a few drops of liquid stevia to sweeten, but you can use powdered sweetener.

Sweeten to taste – I do not like overly sweet drinks or food

Keto / Low Carb Margaritas

Ingredients

  • 3 ounces white tequila
  • 2 ounces lime juice fresh is best but can use bottles
  • liquid stevia to taste can use powdered sweetener
  • 1/2 tsp orange extract

Instructions

  • In a shaker or mixing cup, combine tequila, lime juice, orange extract, and sweetener
  • One option is to rim the glass with salt. If you choose to do this, moisten the rim with lime juice and dip in salt.
  • Another option is to fill margarita glasses with crushed ice or ice cubes
  • Divide the margarita mixture into the 2 glasses
