Keto / Low Carb Margaritas
Hot summer days are upon us as is Cinco De Mayo – what better way to celebrate than with a nice, cold Margarita!
Regular margaritas are very high in sugar and carbs.
This version has no sugar and very few carbs
I used a few drops of liquid stevia to sweeten, but you can use powdered sweetener.
Sweeten to taste – I do not like overly sweet drinks or food
Keto / Low Carb Margaritas
Ingredients
- 3 ounces white tequila
- 2 ounces lime juice fresh is best but can use bottles
- liquid stevia to taste can use powdered sweetener
- 1/2 tsp orange extract
Instructions
- In a shaker or mixing cup, combine tequila, lime juice, orange extract, and sweetener
- One option is to rim the glass with salt. If you choose to do this, moisten the rim with lime juice and dip in salt.
- Another option is to fill margarita glasses with crushed ice or ice cubes
- Divide the margarita mixture into the 2 glasses
