Carnivore Chips
Sometimes I just want a crispy treat.
I usually eat pork rinds when I want the crunch, but I decided to make Carnivore Chips.
I have made Pepperoni Chips and love them, but decided to try other meats!
I bought thinly sliced deli meat – I got mine at Aldi’s because there are no starchy fillers. Just check the ingredients of the deli meat you buy.
I have a fancy dehydrator (Excalibur) that I used when we were raw/vegan. Now that is a switch since we are now carnivore!
I placed the lunch meat on the dehydrator racks and set the temp to 160 F. They take from 4-6 hours depending on how thick the meat is.
I made chicken, turkey, and ham.
They come out nice and crunchy!
I store in a zip lock food bag in the refrigerator since my cats will break into the bags is left on the counter.
They are great when I need some protein on my PSMF (Protein Sparing Modified Fast) days.
I will try making pepperoni and salami chips in the dehydrator as well.
Enjoy the crispy treat!
