- 1 lb ground beef broken up into bite sized pieces
- 1 lb pork sausage cut into bite sized pieces
- 2 lb stew meat
- 1/4 cup choppped onion
- 28 oz pureed tomatoes
- 28 oz fire roasted tomatoes
- 1 tsp dried garlic optional
- 1/4 cup chili powder
- 1/8 cup cumin
- 1 TBS salt
- 2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp garlic powder can use 3 tsp and omit dried garlic
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne powder or to taste
Blend tomato puree and spices
If using a slow cooker, add all ingredients to the slow cooker
Cook for 4 or more hours
If using a smoker, add all ingredients to pan and place in smoker
Smoke at 200 for 3 hours
